When asked why I explain estate planning in terms of generational planning systems, I sometimes have a difficult time with the "short elevator speech." I find that most clients - regardless of age or financial status - have acquired just enough scattered information about estate planning to know that it should be on their "to do list" but find themselves overwhelmed and intimidated by the process.
I believe in creating a comfortable learning environment by converting complex legal terms and concepts into easy to understand language and examples. An increased comfort level provides a great incentive to get started on the plan.
